#34 get Pregnant

Here's a big one!!! Got to be one the of most, if not the most exciting time in my life. . . when I found out I was pregnant. That thought consumes my day to day life, thinking constantly of the miracle. Can't wait to get fat!!! Now I should probably step it up a little on my list here. I imagine I'll discover a lack of free time in a few months.

#15, #26, #72, #80

So, apparently it's been awhile since I've checked my list and I was pleasantly surprised to find several I could cross off. Yippy!! #26 Read all of Jodi Picoult books: She is by far my favorite author. So, it's a little bittersweet to have finished the last one. She better get on the ball and write several more. #15 Attend a bible study: I enjoy the new friends and fellowship in the weekly bible study. Gives us all a chance to study the word and be able to divulge personal issues without fear of judgement. #72 Stand in the pouring rain for fun: I am going to count the time that I was running a 3 miler through the neighborhood with my friend and we got caught in the rain. No, we were not being chased; we were running for exercise and it was exhilarating. #80 Teach Tuck a new Trick: We are still mastering it, but I think he has learned what his specific "Kong" toy is, so he will fetch it for me to put peanut butter in.

So basically, it appears it's the small little things that make my simple life feel more fufilled. Got a long ways to go to get this list done :)

#39 Just sit and watch the sunset

Ben and I sat and watched the sunset and sunrise!  The view was seen across the rippling Eldorado Lake while perched inside the canoe.  Had to scurry around a little as to keep from missing it.  I've found that when the sun gets to a certain point on the horizon, it falls quite quickly.  Beautiful!!

#100 Pray More

There is some sort of peace that I gain when praying.  It's knowing there is someone I can turn to that will listen, not judge, and answer my prayers (even though it may not be the way I'd imagined).  Lately, it seems, I have several disheartening issues I've needed to pray about.  Most recently is the death of my good friend's father.  He was killed in a motorcycle accident.   The whole family is such an incredible, warm hearted group of people that is now in such unimaginable heartache.  Please join me in praying for their peace and comfort.

#97 Bike trip to Sturgis

There was little more rain and hail than expected but was overall a wonderful trip.  Great time with great company.  It is impossible to have any worries while riding on the back of a bike looking at the glorious God given land and sky.  It gives me an opportunity to sit and do absolutely nothing; able to reflect on what gifts I've been given and how fortunate I am.

#81 Slow at Scrapbooking

I Finally got pages for each niece and nephew.   Kind of a relaxing hobby to scrapbook. . .who wouldn't like to resort back to kindergarden days of cutting and glueing?  And what wonderful nieces and nephews I have been blessed with.

#6 Stay at a bed and breakfast

Father's Day weekend was very relaxing for me as well as father's everywhere.  I joined by Father-in-law and family at a bed and breakfast at Simpson, KS.  Cute little country home with plenty of opportunities for relaxation.  Was a great time and great company.  Thank you Randy!!

#16 Run 3 miles

Ran (and survived) my first 5K!!!!!   I won't mention what my time was, but crossed the finish line nonetheless.   My sister-in-law and I ran in the Dog-N-Trot in Manhattan, KS.  Sponsored by the College of Veterinary Medicine, it was located around KSU campus.  Was a great day and so much fun.  It's addictive and I'll definitely be joining Jess for more races.  I'll work on shortening my time.

#11 See a Magic Show

O.K.  so it wasn't a big production by any means, and I'd say 3/4 of the audience was under 10 years of age, but I had a blast!!!!  The illusionist/magician did everything David Copperfield would do:  tables were floating, birds were disappearing and reappearing, and ladies were sawed in half.  What a dream come true.  :)

#33 Host a fondue party

Had our groovy friends and family join us for a 70's fondue party.  Included the best of 70's attire and an assortment of cheese, meat and dessert fondues.  Yum!  Bringing fondue back, baby!!!!
